Advocacy Photographer's Christmas Party

Saturday night (12.05.09) was a total blast, the Advocacy photographer's celebrated their first Christmas as a group. The event was held at Lian's pre-school classroom, where we acted like toddlers, too.

We started by eating some nachos (the salsa dip tasted divine, courtesy of Lian herself), puto, pancit malabon (by birthday boy RB), and Sir Benj brought some cake, too. Games and raffle draws followed afterwards, I was able to take home the AP calendar (btw, it's being sold at 100php apiece, and proceeds will go to the education of indigenous youth-pm me here if you want to have your own :)) and a couple of key chains.

For a change, instead of gifts, we exchanged our best photos of the year. My best shot for the year was the one I shot during an activity for kids with cancer. One of the organizers of the event was shown tying the shoelaces of a cancer patient. The photos posted on the boards were gallery materials and mine looked plain in comparison, but the message it conveys is priceless (at least, for me..haha)

The whole affair ended at 5 in the morning, I was literally walking along the sidewalk with my eyes half-closed and listening to System of a Down to keep my senses awake. The moment I got to my room, I took off my shoes and headed straight to bed. I didn't even bother to wash my face.
